Headshots
About
Professional headshots are available to faculty, staff and graduate students in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences* and are free of charge. Headshots can be taken in our photo studio or outdoors, weather permitting.
Headshots can be used on websites, CVs, portfolios and other applications as needed. They may also be used by our staff on university websites, news articles and for other academic purposes.
*If you are not affiliated with the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences and are looking for professional headshots, we recommend contacting the communications office for your college.
Style Guide
Business or business casual clothing is recommended. Solid colors or larger patterns tend to photograph better. Please avoid wearing clothing with visible or large logos or graphics.
If you wear glasses that are highly reflective or darken in the sunlight, we may recommend removing them.
Location
The photo studio is located at 62 Dauer Hall, on the lower level near the north stairwell.
The default meeting location for exterior photos is on the north side of Farrior Hall under the covered area, near the entrance to the Academic Advising Center. If you have a different location in mind, contact us at commsupport@clas.ufl.edu and we will do our best to accommodate.
More than 10 People?
If your unit need more than 10 people photographed, please submit a photo/video ticket to set up a block of time.
How and when will I receive my photos?
After your session, we will choose the best 3-4 photos and share them with you via a web link. Our average turnaround time for headshots is 5-7 business days after your appointment.
The files will be sized for the web. If you need them by a certain date or in a specific format or size, please let us know when you book the appointment.
Cancellation policy
If you are unable to attend your scheduled appointment, we ask that you notify us at least one hour in advance. Failure to attend your appointment, or notifications received less than an hour before the appointment, will count as a no call/no show. Those who accrue more than one no call/no show within 12 months are ineligible for our headshot services for a period of one year.
If you are running late, please notify us as soon as possible. We will do our best to accommodate you, but it may be necessary to reschedule your appointment.
